About

I am: a shameless consumer of baked goods, a lover of outdoor pursuits and a surfer of couches and floors. This is my blog. You found it!

I originally started this thing to keep my mom and grandma updated on my adventures in bike racing, but it quickly evolved (devolved?) into a depository for pretty much any rant I have in my head. Apparently some other people read it too now, which is fine with me. I still write every post for my mom.

In this blog you will find sporadic updates on my life, the odd list, and occasionally some pictures of half-eaten food. I don’t pretend to be very consistent, or even to stick to a real theme, but hopefully you can forgive me and find me entertaining anyway.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Lydia! I was reading the interweb instead of working and stumbled across this blog. Then I said, “Wait, Lydia Tanner?!” I think you and I talked outside a port-a-john at a NWCCC race last year. (I was doing a lot of port-a-john hanging-out in purple UW kit.) Nice blog. I like bikes too.

    • Haha I’m always surprised at the ways people find this thing!
I actually remember that port-o-potty chat, possibly because it was so absurdly cold that day… Gotta love the Northwest conference. What’s new with you? Are you still racing?

  2. Hey Lydia, I don’t want to talk about how weird this is that I have to contact you via your blog, so I’ll save the apologies and cliche explanations. I will say that it was good seeing you kicking butt this weekend at the Morgul Classic, and I have some good pics of you if you’d like to see them. I’m sure I’ll see you around the shop once in a while, so until then, well, see you then. :)

    • Hey Joel-
Thanks for reading! Are you still in Bozeman? Wish I had room in my schedule for an art class this semester…

  3. Lyd,

Just caught up on your life. As usual, pure pleasure reading your prose. Grace is dating a WP skier – Collin, who’s a senior at Monarch, so we heard about Spencer on Sat. Your remembrances were wonderful — I hope his family can read them.

Hope you’re happy in your new digs and your LAST semester at MSU. Whew that seems to have flown by? Weren’t you just in 6th grade?
    Journey on girl!
    love, Helen
